  • My Bio

I have always enjoyed helping others. That is why being a mental health therapist and supervisor here at ACFS continues to be a good fit for me. I obtained my bachelor’s in psychology from University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN in 2012. I went on to pursue my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at St. Cloud State University, graduating from there in 2014. My first job out of graduate school was at a rural community mental health center working with children, families, and adults. I became a fully licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in 2016. My theoretical framework is a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems, person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I am also certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), an intervention used specifically for children with complex trauma. I also specialize in working with adults struggling with depression, bipolar, anxiety, trauma, or other severe and persistent mental illnesses. Outside of work I am a proud husband and father of three children. In my spare time I enjoy running, disc golf, broomball and other recreational sports.
